ProScout Discovery Ian Somerhalder

(Actor – Louisiana) While living in Covington, LA, Ian was discovered at age 15 and was first seen at ProScout (New Orleans) in December of 1994. Signed immediately by Click NYC, Ian spent several years as a model doing major work for Calvin Klein, D & G, Gucci, Versace, and Guess. In May 2006, Somerhalder was named one of DNA Models' Top 10 Male Models. By the age of 17, Ian decided to go into acting, and after many TV and film roles, his breakthrough was playing Boone Carlyle in the TV drama Lost. When his character died in the 20'th episode, it opened the door to his current signature role - that of the maniacally witty and sexy vampire Damon Salvatore in the C.W Networks hit series "The Vampire Diaries". An avid environmentalist, Ian has testified on Capitol Hill regarding the dangers of oil spills and wetlands erosion. He is currently represented by the WME agency.
